It is not uncommon for vet students to become stressed because the grades they earn in vet school are not always similar to the grades they achieved during their undergraduate studies. Many find themselves "in the middle of the pack" after being a "top student" previously. Emotionally, this can be very discouraging and depressing for some.
As veterinarians and pet owners, we are fortunate to live in a time where the understanding of animal diseases and options for diagnosis and treatment are far more advanced than ever before. As a result, we also live in a time where the cost to provide the new gold-standard care is also higher.
Are you in Vet School and without a pet? Think you might be too busy? Too poor? Too tired? I urge you to reconsider! You are missing out on more than you may realize!
