Did You Know: "Polled" Animals don't have Horns

"Polled" is a term used to describe a typically horned animal that is born without horns.  The absence of horns is a genetic trait.  Selective breeding programs select for this trait to make it more prominent.  Animals born with horns that are later removed by disbudding or dehorning are not considered polled.
