Medical Term Fact: -pathy

Today's medical term fact is -Pathy.

The suffix "-pathy" means disease. It does not identify the cause. For example, Hepatopathy means Liver Disease. Used alone, it does not identify the cause of liver disease, not provide enough information to create a plan for treatment. Please check out our other Fact Posts.
