For most 2017 veterinary graduates, the NAVLE® is a thing of the past!  Although you won’t receive your exam results until February, now is the time to relax and enjoy a well-deserved break from the never-ending studying that has consumed your life in recent weeks and months.

I’m sure you are feeling anxious, and some of you are probably convinced you didn’t pass the most important exam of your life.  The great news is the vast majority of you did pass, even if you think you didn’t!  And if you didn’t, it’s not the end of the world. You will have the chance to try again, and there is no shame in needing to do so.

But now is not the time to worry about that.  The final semester of your veterinary education is right around the corner!  You have been busy studying, and completing your clinical education.  Have you taken the time to have some fun along the way?

Take a minute to look around and soak it all in.  A few short months from now you and your classmates will be scattered, beginning new adventures of your own.  Never again will you experience the shared stresses and joys that veterinary school has provided.  It’s a strange thing to suddenly be away from those you’ve been so close to for so long.

So as you round the corner toward the home stretch, take some time to reflect, relax and have some fun!  You’ve worked hard to get to this point, and deserve a little celebration!  Soon enough you’ll be busy job hunting, getting ready to move and preparing for graduation.  Right now is the calm before the storm.  Enjoy It!
