Did You Know: "Polled" Animals don't have Horns

"Polled" is a term used to describe a typically horned animal that is born without horns.  The absence of horns is a genetic trait.  Selective breeding programs select for this trait to make it more prominent.  Animals born with horns that are later removed by disbudding or dehorning are not considered polled.

LaMancha Goat Ears: Genetic NOT Surgically Altered!

Unlike some canine breeds that have their ears cropped to create the short appearance, LaMancha goats come by their unique ears naturally!  The shortest "gopher" ears are ideal,  though the slightly longer "elf" ears are acceptable in females.
