Cari Wise

Dr. Cari Wise is a 1999 graduate of the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a Masters degree in Education from Argosy University in 2015. Throughout her career, Dr. Wise has utilized her veterinary education in variety of settings including private and corporate small animal practice, shelter medicine, spay/neuter clinics, veterinary relief services, start-up practice ownership, and veterinary technician education.

Did You Know: "Polled" Animals don't have Horns

"Polled" is a term used to describe a typically horned animal that is born without horns.  The absence of horns is a genetic trait.  Selective breeding programs select for this trait to make it more prominent.  Animals born with horns that are later removed by disbudding or dehorning are not considered polled.

Vet Student with vision helps Navajo Nation

Patrick Succo, a second-year DVM student at Colorado State University, with “Blue,” a horse at CSU’s Equine Center. Succo helped to launch a veterinary outreach program to teach animal care and medical skills to high school students, livestock producers and pet owners in the Navajo Nation.
